Costco Supervisor Interview Questions:

If you are applying for Supervisor position at Costco you’ ll commonly be asked about your experience, skills, and weaknesses.

  1. What work experience do you have?

You should always expect this question while answering any interview questions. Most interviewers desire an experienced hand to handle their works. Nevertheless, some employers do give the creative job seeker a chance.

Therefore, your answer depends on your level of experience. If you have worked as a retailer before, intimate the interviewer with your work experience. If you have customer service experience too, make sure that you include this in your work experience.

For e.g., “I have worked with ABC Company for 2 years. I have assisted stock management team. I have been a core team member and been a speaker at multiple seminars and participated in decision making discussions. I have also been rewarded for my skills in stock keeping and its maintenance (if any)”

However, if you are a young school leaver and this is your first attempt at working after school, be candid with the interviewer. You can explain that you have spent your time on your education but are anxious about proving your mettle in the workforce. Your frankness and willingness to learn and improve may go down well with your interviewers rather than work against you.

For e.g. “I am a fresher. I am keen to learn stock management and give my 100% devotion to the work I am allotted. I am ready to take up challenges that add to my skills and knowledge.”

  1. What is your greatest weakness?

Costco interview questions are never complete without this question. So, be prepared to tell your interviewer your greatest weakness. This depends on what your real weakness is. However, you need to exercise caution here.

For instance, while no one feels comfortable exposing his or her weaknesses, you can’t deceive your interviewer into believing that you don’t have any weakness. That will sound absurd. We all have weaknesses.

So, don’t be too honest and wash all your dirty linen in the public and don’t feed them some lies as well. A little flaw like “I’m sometimes uneasy when people don’t quickly grasp my ideas” or “I’m a bit nervous about my public speaking skills” are some reasonable weaknesses you can tell your interviewers.

The thumb rule is never to lie nor expose yourself to the bones. Then, express your willingness to work on your weakness and improve your performances with repeated efforts.

For e.g. “I get nervous if I have to express my ideas in public. However, I would like to take efforts and overcome this barrier.”

You may also talk about assisting an upset customer to find an item he or she can’t find rather than point at the location of the item. Just give them the assurance that you will give their customers the royal treatment.

For e.g. “I definitely believe the customer is the king and so will I assist them to resolve their issue. I would be polite and listen to the customer patiently and assure that them that their grievances will be resolved. I shall definitely confirm with the customer if he has got the satisfactory solution and help him until he is satisfied.”

  1. What hours of the day can you work?

There is no straightforward answer to this question. Each department may have its unique working schedule, and that may be a factor in determining how long you are willing to work. Make that clear. However, you shall be a little flexible while giving your timings.

For e.g. “I am ready to work for late hours if I am being given good work exposure and learning. For me, its knowledge that matters more than the working hours. Working hours shouldn’t be an issue to me unless there is a genuine emergency for me.”
